Morgan County Observatory

OBSERVATORY RENOVATION

Aug 20.2025 Update

Construction is underway for the closet improvements and the new stairs in the classroom. The telescope is partially disassembled - the next big step is removing the tube from the dome.

The new pier is due to arrive at the end of August! Our goal is to be back in action at the end of September.

We still need to raise $10,000 to complete the new stair construction and pay for for the mount and telescope. Your donation is greatly appreciated!!

All outside events are weather dependent so please check back the day of the event.
